प्रधान मंत्री आयुष्मान भारत योजना के दायरे में आने वाले परिवार देश के किसी भी सरकारी अस्पताल या पैनल में शामिल प्राइवेट अस्पताल में हर साल 5 लाख रुपये तक का मुफ्त इलाज पा सकते हैं। इलाज पूरी तरह से कैशलेस है और कई गंभीर बीमारियों को भी इसमें कवर किया गया है। यह एक तरह से फैमिली फ्लोटिंग इंश्योरेंस कवर है जिसमें इस 5 लाख रुपये में परिवार के सभी सदस्य कवर होते हैं। यह 5 लाख रुपये चाहे तो एक आदमी के इलाज पर खर्च हो सकते हैं या फिर परिवार में अगर 10 लोग हैं तो उन पर भी। और हां, इसकी कवरेज में उम्र की या परिवार के सदस्यों की संख्या की कोई सीमा नहीं है। केंद्र सरकार ने बताया कि अब प्राइवेट लैब्स और हॉस्पिटल में होने वाला कोरोना टेस्ट, आयुष्मान भारत प्रधानमंत्री जन आरोग्य योजना के तहत किया जाएगा। यानी इस योजना के लाभार्थियों का इलाज और टेस्ट फ्री हो जाएगा।
